Are you tired of frequent trips to the bathroom at night? Frequent nighttime urination is called Nocturia.

Nocturia is the frequent need to go to the bathroom to urinate at night. Individuals without nocturia can sleep 6 to 8 hours per night without having to urinate. Individuals with severe nocturia may get up five or six times during the night to go to the bathroom.

Symptoms may include:

  • Excessive urination (need to urinate too much fluid)
  • Frequent urination (too many visits to the bathroom)
  • Urinary urgency (the need to urinate, sometimes without much result)
  • Reduced urine

    The MELT study is a research study for men and women with nocturia. The study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a fast dissolving formulation of an investigational medication for nocturia.

    Study volunteers must meet the following criteria:
  • Be aged 18 or older
  • At night, average 2 or more trips to the bathroom to urinate
  • Does not take diuretics or water pills
  • Does not have diabetes or high blood pressure which is not controlled by Medication
